Delivery & Returns
Most of our deliveries are made using the services of Royal Mail. The only item,s normally sent by courier are Hitch Locks and Wheel Clamps due to their weight.
We have found Royal Mail to be the most cost effective method for customers in delivering their orders in a timely and safe manner. We work very closely with Royal Mail and have our own business account manager that we can contact to address any delivery matters or problems which may arise. Royal Mail collect from us daily except Sundays.
Our postal charges are aligned with the Royal Mail standard published postal pricing chart based upon the weight of our product. We use both 1st and 2nd class delivery options dependent upon the total weight of your order. We add on top of this the cost price of the packaging materials in order to ensure your order reaches you in top condition.
You need not have any concerns regarding high postal charges - we do not seek to make money from our customers on the cost of delivering your goods
If you order several items we will combine the total weight of your order and again we will only charge you in accordance with the standard Royal Mail pricing chart plus the cost price of packaging materials used.
Royal Mail in April 2012 and again in April 2013 significantly increased their delivery charges yet we still find that they remain the only viable provider of delivery services at a price that will accord with customer satisfaction and approval. It would be easy to try and hide costs within a product price but we wish to remain transparent and show customers that we are providing a reliable delivery service at cost price.
A common example for customers on an individual purchase of two items:

Postal Charge - £2.49

All goods ordered will be despatched under normal circumstances within 24 hours of the order placement. If we can process and despatch an order the same day as order placement this will be done. If any item is not available from stock this will be shown on the product page prior to placing your order.
Goods ordered on line can be paid for by the Paypal secure system or goods can be ordered by telephone and your credit or debit card details will be processed via the paypal secure system. We do not retain any customer card details either on our systems or in any written form. This is also applies to telephone orders whereby goods are paid for by card over the telephone. Goods will then be despatched as per the above.
Goods paid for by cheque will only be despatched upon the cheque clearance into our account.
All orders must be paid for prior to despatch unless we have advised you otherwise in writing.
Delivery will be made to the delivery address provided by the customer and advised to us during the ordering process. Please ensure that the delivery address supplied to Horse Trailer Shop is accurate and is an address that Royal Mail will deliver to, this is the responsibility of the purchaser on ordering goods.
We will not be held responsible for any goods that have been delivered to an incorrectly advised address by Royal Mail. Once ordered goods have been delivered to you or your nominated recipient, we will not be liable for their subsequent theft, loss, damage or destruction.
All prices shown on this site are for delivery to the UK mainland addresses only. If you wish to place an order for delivery to The Channel Islands, Eire or Europe then please email us prior to placing your order so that we can advise you of the exact delivery charge.
Please allow up to 5 working days for delivery. Normally orders arrive within 1 to 3 days.

does not constitute an offer for sale. Delivery prices advised within the site are for delivery only by Royal Mail to any UK mainland address. Orders for delivery to addresses in Eire or the European Union will be accepted but an extra charge for delivery will be made and you should contact us for a quote prior to placing an order
. We will then require acceptance via e-mail of the delivery price quoted before accepting the order placement. If an error is made on a postal price due to a change in Royal Mail pricing or delivery policy we will notify you of this if we intend to request an extra delivery payment. You will be given at this time the option to cancel your order without suffering any financial penalty.
We reserve the right to issue a refund for items returned that are not in a re-saleable condition. The cost of return will be at the customers expense unless the items are returned because they are faulty or damaged. We conform to the distance selling regulations with regard to our sales and the only variance in contract is with regard to personalised or specialised items, wheel clamps or hitch locks that are supplied with high security keys, DVD, CD items and software. These items will be accepted for return at our discretion (unless faulty) and with regard to wheel clamps and hitch locks the original delivery costs paid may not be refunded by us. Purchasers should advise us within 14 days of receipt if they wish to return an item and this should be returned with its original packaging and must be un-used and with all tags, labels enclosed.
If an incorrect item has been sent to you, damaged or of unsatisfactory quality, please send the item back to us (obtaining free proof of postage from Royal Mail)
We will only refund the price of the item to the purchaser once it is received by us. Following receipt by Horse Trailer Shop, it may take up to five working days to credit the purchaser’s account.
We will not be held liable for any losses or consequential losses incurred by customers with regards to the purchase or non availability or non delivery of items from us.
If you wish to discuss any aspect of the return or refund of an item then our advice is to contact us either via email or telephone and discuss with us any potential issue or problem and we will work with you to resolve this to your satisfaction.
